A. S. RAITHE is a fantasy author living near Pittsburgh with their spouse and children. A lifelong creative, Raithe discovered a passion for writing in high school after being introduced to a local bestselling author who was running a writers’ circle out of an independent bookstore. They went on to work as a freelance ghostwriter for several years before stepping away to return to college, until their spouse convinced them to return to writing shortly after their wedding. 

In 2022, Raithe met another author at a local convention who offered them a monthly serial in his magazine (Altered Reality Magazine). Their dark fantasy serial, THE CURSE OF THE EBON MAW, debuted in August 2023, and Raithe was named the magazine’s Author of the Month in December of that year for their work on the series.

Outside of writing, Raithe enjoys exercise, baking, gardening, folklore, and, key to their inspiration and creative process, hiking and music.

Their debut novel, THE ORIGAMI EARTH: TÍR NA NÓG, a young adult sapphic portal fantasy (intended for ages 16+), was released on June 1, 2026. Their next novel, THE SECRET OF HIDDEN CREEK, an upper middle-grade coming-of-age story in the tradition of a boy and his dog, but with a supernatural twist (intended for ages 10+), released on September 1, 2026.
